Burnley fans speak on future of Charlie Austin
24-year-old Austin was Burnley’s top scorer with 28 goals last season, although with only one year remaining on his contract at Turf Moor, the Clarets accepted a £4.5million offer from Hull, who were promoted to the Premier League last season.
With Austin’s fee agreed over the weekend, only personal terms and a medical were needed for the Tigers to complete their signing. However, Hull manager Steve Bruce told talkSPORT there had been a problem with his medical.
There have been no other bidders for the striker, which leaves Burnley in an unusual situation regarding the striker’s long-term future.
