Burnley’s form, which has seen them accrue 10 points in four fixtures, has been matched by Championship rivals QPR, Leicester, Watford and Reading.

While Harry Redknapp’s league leaders have kept clean sheets in those respective outings, the Clarets boast the best goal difference from those clubs which could sway the panel in Dyche’s favour.

The Clarets can also add a Capital One Cup third round victory over Nottingham Forest to their record for the month as well.

Dyche was nominated for August’s SkyBet accolade, but Blackpool’s Paul Ince was eventually announced as the recipient.

“I think Sean Dyche deserves to come out on top,” said Banaszkiewicz. “He’s probably going to get the Manager of the Month award. He’s done an absolutely fantastic job.

“He’s managed to find success to date on a limited budget and he’s managed to replace some key players. They’ve been very clever swaps and it’s been very resourceful business having replaced Charlie Austin, Martin Paterson, Chris McCann and Lee Grant with the likes of David Jones, Scott Arfield, Tom Heaton and Michael Kightly.”

Banaszkiewicz added: “He deserves to be top of that list for the award. There’s a real buzz about the place at the moment. I’ve noticed an improvement in a number of areas, especially the conditioning and fitness of the players.

“He’s great at the micro-management aspects, working with the individual, and he’s just been able to get the best out of them all.

“To achieve what he has with the resources at his disposal is a great achievement, especially considering the strength of the division. He deserves the recognition.

“He’s very technical as well and is also involved in other facets of the club. Sean is a great guy and always very responsive regardless of whether it’s on field or off field matters.”
