Burnley chasing Liverpool wideman Harry Wilson
Burnley are interested in bringing young Liverpool wideman Harry Wilson to Turf Moor.
Reports suggest the Clarets are in talks with the Reds as they look to bolster their options in the wide positions, having released Aaron Lennon, and seen Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Robbie Brady suffer injury setbacks in the first two games of the season.
However, I understand that is jumping the gun, although the club have looked at the player as a potential target.
The set piece expert spent last season on loan at Bournemouth, where he scored seven goals in 35 appearances.
Wilson has spent 14 years at Anfield, with the 23-year-old featuring once for the Reds, in the FA Cup against Plymouth Argyle in 2017.,
Wilson has also had stints on loan at Crewe, Hull and Derby County.
This link comes with Brighton midfielder Dale Stephens close to sealing a move for an initial £1m.
Sean Dyche yesterday said: "There's a couple of things that are maybes, but not on the cusp."
But it appears things are moving quicker than he anticipated, ahead of tonight's Carabao Cup third round clash at Millwall.
