The Burnley boss will have to make a 'judgement call' on Dwight McNeil, Charlie Taylor and Jay Rodriguez while Kevin Long remains a doubt.

"It's touch and go with these players that are close so we are going to have to make a call ourselves," he said.

Dyche confirmed that goalkeeper Nick Pope will be available for duty after rolling his ankle in training late last week and added that he's 'very hopeful' that others, affected by the coronavirus outbreak, may return.

He said: "He [Pope] rolled his ankle on Friday but it wasn't a serious one. He could, in theory, have started the game at the weekend but we were cautious."

Josh Brownhill, Ashley Westwood, Jimmy Dunne and Bailey Peacock-Farrell were all absent from the squad for Saturday's FA Cup win at home to MK Dons.

"We will wait and see," said Dyche. "A couple of Covid situations in there and a couple of precautions by the guidelines so we will wait and see if they are available, but we are very hopeful."
