The Sean Dyche Family Scholarship is worth £15,000 over three years and is open to new undergraduate coaching degree students who can show that they have what it takes to make it as a leader in football or sport. The scholarship is now open for applications and joins a growing list of scholarship opportunities at UCFB.

Dyche is well acquainted with UCFB and its commitment to upskilling the next generation of sports professionals. Having starred in a recent UCFB television advert, he has also delivered exclusive guest speaker talks to students at UCFB.

Since joining the club in 2012, Dyche has led Burnley to Premier League promotion twice and is one of the most respected British managers in the game today.

Commenting on his scholarship, the two-time Premier League Manager of the Month said: “My relationship with UCFB goes right back to when it first began classes at Turf Moor.

"I couldn’t be happier to put my name and financial support behind this scholarship for someone with the desire to go the extra mile and rise above their life’s challenges to pursue an education in coaching.

"Leadership comes in many different forms, and we want people who apply for this award to show their commitment to that while being able to inspire those around them.”

Burnley FC Director and UCFB’s Chairman, Brendan Flood, who founded the institution in 2011, commented: “We’re thrilled that Sean and his family have agreed to back our students and the future leaders of the sports industry with this award.

"The characteristics that have made Sean such a success at Burnley and in his coaching career are ones that we try to instil in the students on our programmes. We can’t wait to work with Sean to identify a coach with great potential and develop them for a brilliant career ahead.”
