Burnley boss Sean Dyche confident of keeping James Tarkowski at Turf Moor

While there are suggestions West Ham will return with a third and final offer for Burnley centre back James Tarkowski, Sean Dyche remains confident of keeping one of his key men at Turf Moor.

The Hammers have seen two bids knocked back, the second last Thursday for £30m.

And David Moyes is expected to try one last time to tempt Burnley to sell, although he accepts the club could be priced out of any deal, with the Clarets in a strong position and determined not to sell unless the deal is just too good to turn down.

Moyes said on Friday: ”If Burnley say no and Sean says no then I respect that decision but yet, we have made a couple of offers for him.

“Obviously we will get to a limit where we feel we can’t got much further but it could be a price they might accept."

Asked whether anything had changed, Dyche said: "Nothing's relevant at the moment, we're hoping it's not, obviously, we want to keep our best players in house, that's for sure.

"He's a very good player and he's delivered for us on a consistent basis over a long period of time.

"As I've mentioned before, I don't see why any player would leave here at this moment in time, and if so, I'd imagine the numbers would have to be considerable for that to be even considered.

"I'm not planning on anything else, other than him being here."
