Burnley ensured they will remain in the Championship next season as they climbed to 14th with a deserved 2-1 win at Wolves on Saturday.

But the hard work continues for Dyche, as he focuses on players’ contracts and making his first permanent signings for the club.

The Clarets have a home game against Ipswich - with both sides safe - on Saturday, and Dyche said: “I’m pleased we’ve got a chance to at least bring in some players that aren’t the group we’ve worked with - some will stay of course - and then we’ll build for next season, see what finances are available, see what players go in and out, the fluctuations in the market.

“There’s still more to come, there’s still more development, we still need players and we’ll be looking at the market and getting what we can in with the money we’ve got, and we’ll have to be flexible thinking with that as well.”

Plans are already in place, as regards recruitment, and Dyche admitted: “There are certain things we’ve already been looking at. Obviously everyone’s focus has been on these results, including mine, but behind the scenes my job as manager is to see through all that and make sure we’re still planning.”
