Burnley boss Dyche unhappy with nature of late equaliser

Burnley led Blues three times through Dean Marney, Michael Duff and Sam Vokes, but the hosts fought back through Federico Macheda, who netted either side of an Emyr Huws volley.

But it was Macheda’s injury time effort which rankled Dyche: “Arguably over the season we’ve had a few things go against us from the officials, and another went against us tonight.

“It comes off the lad’s shoulder, I think you can tell from the lad’s motion.

“I asked the referee quite simply what did he think, and he said he couldn’t quite get a view of it. If it’s come off his arm, it’s the way it is, the decision is made.

“I thought there was a foul on Dave Jones in the build up as well, but we didn’t get a lot this evening of those maybe fouls.

“But I’m proud of the players again, a lot would have questioned After the Lord Mayor’s Show after a massive win on Sunday, and I thought, without playing as well as we can, we looked like a side that never gives up, and I love that relentless nature.”

Meanwhile, 25-goal top-scorer Danny Ings was forced off in the second half after a poor challenge from Tom Adeyemi, and Dyche is keeping his fingers crossed it is nothing serious: “We’ll wait and see, I think he’ll be alright.”
