Burnley awarded Football League Respect & Fair Play Award
Burnley Football Club is delighted to have been awarded with the Football League Respect & Fair Play Award for the 2013-14 campaign.
The divisional award, which carries a £10,000 prize for community projects, is based upon a points system arising from the club’s disciplinary record in league fixtures throughout last season.
The club are now discussing how to put the prize money to best use and a formal proposal will be submitted to the Football League for their approval in due course.
There will also be a presentation on the pitch to the club at the Community Shield fixture between Arsenal and Manchester City on Sunday, 10th August.
