Bikey hopeful of crucial win

Nottingham Forest lie two points ahead in sixth place, with Millwall seventh, on the same points as Burnley but boasting a better goal difference.

Tomorrow’s opponents Leeds also harbour hopes of a top six place, having only dropped out of the play-off places on Saturday.

Eddie Howe takes his side to Elland Road unbeaten in four games, but disappointed to drop two points at home to former club Portsmouth on Easter Monday.

And Bikey feels it makes the last two games must-win: “It was two points dropped, especially at home. It’s not a bad result but now we need all the points.

“To drop points like that makes it uncomfortable for us.

“But you never know in football. We’ve dropped two points, maybe Forest will drop four in the next two games?

“We just have to keep going and do the right things and see what happens.”

Burnley have been doing the right things of late, and Bikey hopes to take that form into a sell-out game at Leeds, to keep the play-off dream alive going into the last game of the season at home to Cardiff City a week tomorrow: “Two wins. We just have to win both games. If not then it’s going to be hard for us.

“It’s not impossible.

“It’s exciting but it’s hard.

“But Leeds need the points like we do.They were in there all season and now they’re out of it.

“They are going to be under more pressure at home, but we’re under pressure as well because we need to win.

“It’s going to be a tough game because they’re trying to get in there (the play-offs) as well, but it’s exciting.

“We have to go there and perform and get a win and see what happens.”

On paper, Nottingham Forest have the easier schedule, at home to Scunthorpe United - technically still alive, but realistically relegated, before a trip to Crystal Palace, who have reached safe haven.

But football is not played on paper, and Bikey added: “We hope that Crystal Palace and Scunthorpe are going to give everything they’ve got for the last two games.

“We just have to keep going and try to make the jump like we did do in the three games before Monday. We never know. We still have a chance. It’s not over.”
