Beast to host testimonial dinner

And Brian’s testimonial committee are delighted to announce a gala dinner/dance in his honour, to be held at Turf Moor on Saturday, April 6.

Hosted by Alastair Campbell and attended by many of Brian’s current and former team mates, this is your chance to honour the ‘Beast’ following a decade of loyal service.

The evening consists of a three-course meal and live entertainment from, among others, ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ comedy impressionist Les Gibson.

Brian will also be recalling the highlights of his Turf Moor career in a special chat with with Alastair, before live music rounds off a fabulous evening.

Gold tickets (closest to the stage) are priced at £50, with Silver and Bronze priced at £40 and £30 respectively.

Dress code is lounge suits.

Tickets for this unique event in the James Hargreaves Stand are now on sale at the Turf Moor reception, or by phone on 0871 21 1882.

They can also be bought from the Burnley Express offices, or on 478164.

Jensen will also host a golf day on Wednesday, April 24th at Marsden Park, with teams of four set to play a Stableford. A maximum handicap allowance of 24 has been set for all men, and 36 for both ladies and juniors.

There will be a nearest the pin prize, with the longest drive and hole in one prize taking place on the 11th and 17th hole respectively.

Tee-times will be from 9 a.m. to 3-15 p.m. and registration will take place within the clubhouse, where bacon sandwiches will be available. Gifts will also be provided for all competitors.

• THE Clarets travel to Bloomfield Road to play Blackpool on Saturday, April 13th (kick-off 3 p.m).

For the game against Bristol City on Saturday, April 6th (kick-off 3 p.m.), season ticket holders can purchase extra Under 16 tickets for £1 in all home areas.

Non-season ticket holders aged 16 or under can also obtain tickets for the game for £1 in the Jimmy McIlroy Stand lower tier, though Under 12s must be accompanied by an adult.

The game is a bronze category fixture.

For the game against league leaders Cardiff City at Turf Moor on Saturday, April 20th (kick-off 12-45 p.m.), season ticket holders can obtain extra tickets in all home areas, priced at £10 (adults) and £5 (Under 16s).

General sale tickets are available for £10 (adults) and £5 (Under 16s) in the Jimmy McIlroy Stand (lower tier).

The game is a silver category fixture.

• BURNLEY travel to Elland Road on Tuesday, April 16th to face Leeds United (kick-off 7-45 p.m.).

The club has been allocated an initial 1,000 tickets, which go on sale to season ticket holders, members and Foundation members on Wednesday, priced at Adults: £34, Under 16s: £16, Over 60s: £23.
