Non-attending season ticket holders are included in the final total, as they have effectively purchased tickets for that game.

However, Saturday’s publicised attendance of 12,430 did not include the non-attending season ticket holders.

It is quite common throughout football to have a high number of non-attending season ticket holders at games, with up to 1,000 the norm at Turf Moor.

This number usually increases during the traditional summer holiday period.
