Last season’s runners up trailed by 12 runs at the end despite Elliot Artingstoll’s unbeaten 98 at Whalley Road, as Lancashire’s Andrea Agathangelou smashed 145 not out in the away side’s victory.

Kyle O’Connor’s side host Salesbury today before travelling to Station Road tomorrow to take on Whalley.

Meanwhile, Padiham captain Callum Clarke endured a washout at Brooksbottom.

Padiham had reached a total of 184-6 after 32 overs but were thwarted by the incessant rainfall at the Brox.

Anthony Hall had fired an unbeaten 58 for the visitors, Kevin Hitchon had opened with 40 while Clarke added 37.

Padiham go head-to-head with Oswaldtwistle Immanuel at New Lane today before entertaining Earby at the Arbories tomorrow. Fixtures start at 1-30 p.m.
