Burnley Cricket Club were proud to have had five representatives at the Lancashire Cricket Board development of Excellence awards on Monday night at The Point, Emirates Old Trafford.

Burnley first team bowler Cole Hayman - who is also on Lancashire’s books - was named Under 19 player of the year.

And Tom Lawson was also recognised for representing the Under 15 and Under 17 teams, as well as the North of England representative side.

Meanwhile, Lowerhouse’s Liberty Heap-Gibbons was named Lancashire Under 11 Girls’ player of the year.

Liberty, 10, attends Lowerhouse Junior School and last season was the leading run scorer at her age group - the only girl to score a 50 aged just 10.

She is also celebrating a sponsorship deal with Surridge Sports for 2015.
