Lowerhouse seconds restricted Nelson to two runs off the final over to secure a tie.

The West Enders totalled 202-8, with 92 from Rhys Woodworth, 33 from Dec Stansfield on his debut, and 16 from Ollie Bayliff.

And Nelson closed on 202-8 in reply as Woodworth took 4-42 and Jamie Woodall 3-55.

Lowerhouse thirds suffered their first defeat of the season against unbeaten East Lancs after scoring 171-8, thanks to Joseph Bayliff (50 not out), Will Norcross (26), Harry Halstead (22), Dec Stansfield (15) and Ben Uttley (13).

The fourths lost to Church by 101 runs despite runs from Charlie Bithell (20) and Conor Juriansz (15) and wickets for Harrison Smith (3-27) and Ethan Laraway (2-40).

The Under 17s beat Rishton by two wickets, with Alex Claridge-Ingham (2-11) and James Ridehalgh (2-17) among the wickets, and Joe Bayliff (23), James Wheatcroft (22), Ben Gorton (20 not out) and Ridehalgh (11) top-scoring.

They also beat Burnley in a 25-over friendly by six wickets.

Joey Stein took 3-10 and James Wheatcroft 2-13, with runs from Dec Stansfield (50 not out), Stein (24) and James Ridehalgh (23).

The Under 15 Sharks tied with Haslingden 80 -8 thanks to a tight two overs from Ethan Laraway (2-6) at the death.

Joe Halstead hit 28 and took 2-7.
