Jimmy Anderson stars in Ashes
BURNLEY’S bowling superstar Jimmy Anderson was the hero of the day as ripped through Australia’s top order to put England in firm control of the second Ashes test in Adelaide.
Finishing with figures of 4-51 the Australian batsmen had no answer to the Burnley Express, who helped his side dismiss Australia for 245.
After taking out Aussie captain Ricky Ponting on his first ball he went on to claim the wickets of Watson, Clarke and Siddle on a memorable first day.
