Burnley’s junior sides enjoyed a successful weekend.
On Sunday, the Under 11s B team played at home to Longridge CC.
Burnley bowled first and restricted Longridge to a total of 208, with wickets from Essa Khan, Ben Parkinson and Rayhan Zamen.
Hassam, from the Under 9s, also bowled very well, taking a great wicket.
Phoebe Johnstone kept wicket on a difficult track to a very high standard.
In return, Burnley posted 236, with a great team performance.
Awais Muhammed was the highest scorer on 8 not out, and the rest of the team all contributed.
And on Monday, the Under 11s A team travelled to Accrington to face Enfield.
Burnley bowled first and restricted Enfield to a total of 224.
Every bowler chipped in, especially Waqas Suleman, who took 0-3 off three overs.
Zaeem Shah, Jaffer Muhammed, Kai Moreland and Ben Richardson all took a wicket, and James Swift claimed two maidens.
In reply, the batting was outstanding as Burnley finished on 329.
Top scorer was James Swift on 29, with further contribitions from Jaffer Muhammed (22), Rehan Zore (16) and Harry Tomlinson (18).
