Craddock in fine bowling form as Earby record win

WINNING PERFORMANCE: Richard Craddock on his way to 6-48

Earby won the toss and elected to bat, Matt Wilson set off in a positive manner alongside Chris Walton, adding 21 of the 29 scored in the first eight overs, before they both fell to Ben Dowling.

Pro Rehman (7) and Sam Munns (13) hung around until A.Khan removed both of them with the score in the 50s. Pete Baistow added 15 before T. Cloete bowled him.

Richard Craddock then added a valuable 16 before being unluckily run out. Iain Clarkson (19) and Lee Parkinson (14) once again made a crucial tail end contribution until both were removed by the returning Dowling. And when Matt Garner was caught and bowled by Stu Maher, Great Harwood were set 155 to win,.

Richard Craddock took the wicket of Ian Haworth in the 5th over and with it the Great Harwood demise started. By the end of Craddock’s 5th over he was on three wickets at a cost of just 10.

Only J.Starkie (19) of the top eight looked like making any inroads to the target.

At 72-8 the game was all but over, Craddock with superb figures of six wickets for just 48 off 14 overs.

A rearguard assault from Stu Maher (19) and A.Khan (22) took the score to 115 but the hero from the previous week Lee Parkinson removed both of them to leave Great Harwood 118 all out.
