Burnley Under 13s finished as runners-up in the National Cup Finals Day at Bury CC on Sunday.
Burnley’s first opponents were Rainford, who won the toss and chose to bat.
Rainford posted 81-3 off a tough batting wicket.
There were wickets for Haider Ali Khan, Hanaf Shahid and Bryce Johnstone.
In reply, Q. Shah retired on 33, and Johnstone posted 24 as Burnley reached their target with three overs spare.
Burnley had a four-hour wait for the final, where they played Leyland.
Burnley lost the toss and batted first, and they struggled against great bowling from Leyland, posting a score of 71-6 with Johnstone making 20 and K. Moorland 18, retiring injured.
Leyland chased the score down with seven overs to spare with some excellent batting, losing only one wicket, taken by Adam Khan.
