Budding young cricketer Liberty wins Player of Season award

Budding young cricketer Liberty Heap topped off a fantastic year by picking up the Under 11 girls’ Player of the Season award at the Lancashire Cricket Board presentation.

Liberty scored four 50s and a record-breaking century back in May.

The good news comes in threes, as Liberty has also been awarded a Harry Brooks Cricket Foundation Scholarship on the back of her fantastic season.

Harry is a Lowerhouse CC patron and benefactor.

Also Liberty has been put on the Emerging Players Programme at Lancashire, a great achievement at her age, but step father Ben Heap said: “Liberty’s feet will be kept firmly on the ground. There’s a long way to go if Liberty wants to make a living out of playing cricket, but we’re on the right path and I thank Harry brooks for his help.”
