Burnley wrestler secures bronze for Team England at the Commonwealth Games

Burnley's Georgina Nelthorpe has won a bronze medal on her Team England debut at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

The 21-year-old wrestler, coached by Eddy Kavanagh at Sharples Wrestling Club, claimed victory over Sierra Leone's Hajaratu Kamara in the women's 76kg freestyle in the Carrara Sports and Leisure Centre.

Georgina, who is employed by Fagan and Whalley, has previously won a bronze medal at the 2017 Sassari International and secured silver at last year's British Championships.
