Burnley Tornados to hold try-out sessions

Burnley Tornados will be holding two open try-out sessions at the Prairie, Windermere Avenue, Burnley tomorrow, and Saturday, January 19th from 10 a.m. to noon.

The sessions will be outdoors, so prepare for all weathers.

If you are aged 10-14 you can join the flag team, 14-16 you can join the kitted team, or if you are over 18, you can try out the sport with the club’s senior members.

The senior team has started up on the back of the great success of the 2012 season for the youth team, who won the North West division, the Northern Conference, came third nationally and won the Lancashire Academy Rose Bowl trophy.

You’ll get the chance to find out more about playing for the Tornados, meet some of the team and try some of the drills used in the game.

It doesn’t matter whether you’ve played before or want to try out a new sport, you can be taught the basics or helped to you refine your existing skills.

Bring along footwear, suitable for training outdoors, appropriate clothing and your enthusiasm!
