Burnley Leisure fitness manager appointed cycling ambassador
Elaine Adams-Gilligan has been selected for the prestigious role after a national audition, which saw more than 1000 people take part, with the year-long programme set to grant Elaine exclusive access to cutting-edge cycling technology, exercise specialists, and training days with other team ambassadors.
As well as being part of a nationwide campaign, she will also have an opportunity to rub shoulders and share knowledge with some of the best instructors in the country.
Talking about her new role Elaine said: “I’m very excited to have been picked from such a big group of fitness professionals who applied to the programme. I can’t wait to embark on this exciting new learning journey and share the knowledge with the rest of the colleagues and members at Burnley Leisure.”
The dedicated fitness manager of Burnley Leisure for some 16 years, Elaine always strives to increase her learning and experience both in and out of the studio. Not only was she the first woman across the line in the Manchester to Blackpool bike ride, she has also trained as a Sky Ride leader.
Since completing the training, Elaine has also been leading regular outdoor rides for the local community and encouraging more people of all ages to give cycling a go.
