Sophie Hitchon has claimed a superb bronze in the Olympic Hammer final in Rio, with a personal best and new British record in the final round.
The Burnley-born athlete had a no-throw with her first attempt, before a seasonal best of 73.29m in the second round to move into third place.
She went out to 71.73m in the third round to earn an extra three throws.
Sophie slipped to fourth in the fourth round after an effort of 72.28m, and dropped another place to fifth after her next throw of 72.89m.
