Hearn, who has the likes of Carl Froch, Kell Brook, Tony Bellew and Anthony Crolla on his books at Matchroom Sport, is expected to be ringside when Victoria Warehouse presents ‘Manchester Sound’ on October 18th.

At present Singleton’s opponent has yet to be named after unbeaten 25-year-old Sullivan Mason withdrew from a scheduled Commonwealth title eliminator whilethe Boxing Council rejected Kenyan James Onyango.

“It’s going to have to be a good opponent,” Singleton said. “I’m topping the bill on a Matchroom show so this is a big chance for me.

“Eddie is going to be there ringside so I want to show him what I can do. Whatever happens it’s going to be a highly rated opponent that comes to fight me.

“This could propel my career. It could open huge doors for me. I want to get people talking and I want to be on Sky Sports with the big promoters.”

Singleton, who met Hearn in Wales earlier in the year when Callum Smith beat Tobias Webb for the WBC International super middleweight title at the Motorpoint Arena, added: “I want big fights for big titles. All the top boys go with Eddie Hearn at Matchroom Sport and this is my chance. This is a new stage for me.”
