On Valentine’s Day, nine young swimmers competed at the Liverpool Splash ‘n’ Dash 50m sprint gala, hosted by Liverpool Swimming Club at the Aquatics Centre.

The nine swimmers, ranging in age from nine to 13 years, took part individually in four events – the 50m freestyle, 50m breaststroke, 50m backstroke and 50m butterfly.

And older squad members jetted off to compete at the Swim Ulster competition in Northern Ireland, where they were named Top Club.
