Blessed Trinity’s Young Ambassadors Kasom Shah and Elona Bythell are keen to encourage younger students to take part in sport.
The Year Nine students, both 14, have been selected as ambassadors for their sporting prowess and their confidence.
Elona takes part in rugby, boxing and hockey, while Kasom is at Accrington Stanley’s Academy and is his school’s football captain as well as being a good runner.
“We have to go into primary schools and talk about sport,” said Kasom.
“We also have to organise sports days and other extra curricular sporting activities at Blessed Trinity.
“It is an honour to be a Young Ambassador, it’s a national programme organised by the Youth Sport Trust, so we have to attend training and follow guidelines.”
