And the winning ticket was drawn by Clarets mascot Bertie Bee in Burnley town centre on Saturday.

Representatives of this year’s sponsors Alderson and Horan, Charter Walk, Burnley and Pendle Freemasons, Lloyds Mini, Fuel Card Service’s and Macadams joined Bertie and hospice fund-raisers at the draw.

Pendleside Hospice provides care, free of charge, to around 1,000 local people each year, but relies on the support of the community as it needs to raise more than £2.8m. towards annual running costs of over £3.8m.
