Youth in court charged with sex attack on girl (13)

The alleged incident took place at 8 am on Wednesday at a Burnley subway, underneath the M65 between Gannow Lane and Accrington Road, while the victim walked to school.

The case was adjourned until Monday (September 22nd) when the defendant will appear before a judge at Blackburn Magistrates’ Court.

The youth was granted bail for the weekend on the conditions he lives and sleeps at an address outside of the town, he does not enter Burnley unless he is travelling on public transport and he has no contact with the victim.
