EDDIE Howe will prove to be a highly successful manager at Burnley Football Club, providing the board give him a reasonable amount of money to spend and the fans remain positive and ignore the negative elements within its ranks (some fans would find fault if Alex Ferguson was appointed).
This is not the time for negativity, even if some of it can be understood. Many fans feel Owen Coyle was not given sufficient backing during the Premier League season. Obviously if the same happens to Howe his full potential will never be realised at Turf Moor. However, the appointment of a new manager is a time for looking forward, not back.
I feel the Clarets are extremely fortunate to have Eddie on board. He is highly regarded within the game and turned down several southern clubs before opting for the Clarets.
The Turf Moor board should be congratulated on persuading Eddie to move north for the first time in his career. Obviously it will take time for the new manager to settle into his new surroundings but the more support he receives from the Clarets faithful the easier the transition will be. These are exciting times at Turf Moor. Come on you Clarets!
A CLARET, BURNLEY
