Having just visited my brother, who was in the Royal Blackburn Hospital for 12 weeks prior to his death, I would like to say the care he was given was first class.
He was extremely ill and I was very impressed with the treatment he received in wards C1 and C14.
He was home for three days and was then re-admitted to the medical assessment ward. The care he was given, again, was first class.
They also gave me the care and support I needed as well. I can’t thank them enough for what they did, for not only my brother, but also for myself.
After all the hype in the newspapers and bad publicity condemning hospitals in East Lancashire, the treatment my brother received was tremendous. Instead of condemning our wonderful staff in the NHS we should be congratulating them for a job well done.
