The fun starts from noon with street entertainers and fairground rides and Nickelodeon cartoon character Poppy Cat will be in The Mall to meet fans at noon, 1pm and 2pm.

Father Christmas is expected to make an appearance on his sleigh with members of Padiham Rotary Club.

This year’s show will bring together top local and national performers to a stage which is to be specially constructed in St James’s Street at the end of the pedestrianised area, close to the junction with Hammerton Street.

Video screens are also being brought in to relay the show to visitors.
