WORSTHORNE: Arts and craft fair is underway

ARTS & CRAFT FAIR – The fair is open to the public daily from 2 p.m. to 8-30 p.m. until Sunday, August 7th. This year’s exhibition in church is entitled “All at Sea” and includes items from Lancashire Library, the staff and pupils of Worsthorne Primary School, Towneley Hall, Maritime and Coastguard Agency, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and friends of St John’s Church.

There is to be musical entertainment every day at 3 p.m., featuring organists Martin Waterson, Malcolm Bulcock, Kevin Birchall and David Stephenson. Diane Mitchell will perform on piano and flute. Evening entertainment will take place at 7 p.m. for half an hour: on Monday, Lauren Sutcliffe with classical repertoire; Tuesday, Barry Sharpley sings; Wednesday, the church choir; Thursday, Kath Anforth with songs from the shows; Friday, St Cuthbert’s Operatic Society rehearse for their next performance “Scrooge the Musical”, with Malcolm Gent.
