Sophie, a former pupil of Mansfield High School, Brierfield and Clitheroe Royal Grammar School who has recently graduated in classical studies at Reading University, will fly out to the Tanzanian capital of Dar es Salaam on Sunday, June 5th.

The Government-funded scheme has helped ease the fund-raising problem for Sophie, who is interested in dance herself, and she said: “I thought it would be a good experience to see how children live in poverty in Thirtd World countries and am really looking forward to the trip.”
