‘Woman knocked out during Clitheroe house raid’ claim: two to face Crown Court trial

A WOMAN was allegedly punched unconscious during a burglary at a home in Market Place, Clitheroe.

Now the two men charged with the offence have had their case committed for hearing at Preston Crown Court.

Clitheroe man Kirkland Michael Sunter (23), of Milthorne Avenue, and Edwin Parker (32), of Addington Street, Blackburn, were sent to the Crown Court when they appeared before Blackburn magistrates.

Sunter and Parker are jointly charged with burglary and a seperate offence of theft of a cement mixer belonging to Mohammed Ilyas. Parker is charged alone with assaulting Michelle Turner causing her actual bodily harm and assaulting Jordan Burridge-Leaver.

Parker was remanded in custody and Sunter on bail.
