Snow makes it a white Easter in East Lancashire

This was the snow scene that greeted one horse rider this morning.

As weather forecasters had predicted parts of East Lancashire saw snow fall on high ground overnight.

This was the scene at Spenbrook, Noggarth Road, which is above Fence, this Easter Bank Holiday Monday morning.

The picture was taken by Chloe Smallbone who was forced to abandon her horse ride until the weather improves.

The forecast for the next few days across Burnley, Pendle and the Ribble Valley is for rain and cloud.
