Wanted men: two arrested, one still on loose

A second wanted man has now been arrested by police in Burnley.

Police issued an appeal shortly before Christmas for the public’s help in tracing three missing men.

Brian Furlong (50), originally from London, wanted on prison recall, has been arrested this week.

Police arrested Stuart John Davey (41) from Bolton Road in Blackburn on January 3rd. He is charged with robbery at an address on Faraday Street in Burnley on December 18th whereby a television and phone were stolen from the home of an 85 year-old man.

The case has been sent to Burnley Crown Court on January 22nd.

Lee Roberts (33), from Burnley, is wanted for failing to appear at Burnley Crown Court and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

He was due to appear at court charged with three counts of burglary in Nelson committed on September 6th. The warrant for his arrest was issued on December 6th.

Roberts is described as being of slim build, around 6ft. 2in. tall with a North-West accent. He has blue eyes and short dark brown hair. He has signs of the zodiac tattoos on his right arm.

He has previously lived in the Burnley area but his current whereabouts are unknown.

Sgt Paul Gaynor said: “I would urge anyone with information to contact police on 101 quoting log reference LC-20131223-0533 or Crime stoppers on 0800 555 111.”
