The second parents’ and carers’ forum for the town’s new high school will be held at Life Church Burnley, in Sycamore Avenue, from 6-30pm. At the evening, parents will have a chance to vote for their favourite out of three logos for the new school, which is to open next September.

More than 150 people attended the first parents’ forum in September for Burnley High School. During Wednesday’s forum, students from the sister school in Atherton will also be present and detail their experiences at Atherton Community School.

Following the parents’ forum, a public consultation meeting will be held at 7-45pm. Members of the community are encouraged to ask questions and provide feedback, with consultation questionnaires also available on www.burnleyhighschool.co.uk.

Dr Russell Rook, Chief Executive Officer at Chapel Street, said: “Choosing the logo is a significant decision in developing the long-term identity of the school.

“It’s important the local community actively choose the logo, which have all been professionally designed to capture the unique combination of hopes for and specialisms of Burnley High School.”
