Vote Leave campaign to stage public meetings

The first will be at The Ace Centre, Nelson, at 7-45pm on Thursday and the second is at Barnoldswick Civic Hall, at 7pm on Tuesday, April 26th.

Pendle County Councillor Paul White (Conservative) and Burnley County Councillor Marcus Johnstone (Labour) will set out why they believe that it’s important that the UK votes to leave the European Union when the country votes in a referendum on Thursday, June 23rd.

County Coun. White, who is also the North West Regional Director for Vote Leave, said: “We’re finding there is a huge amount of people in the North West who want to leave the EU, and it’s great that support is so strong, but we want to make sure everyone has the information they need to have to help them make a decision.

“I believe it’s vitally important that the UK votes to leave, and takes back control, but unfortunately we don’t have the benefit of the £9million of taxpayers money that the Government has thrown at their leaflets, so we are going round the region and talking to people face to face.

“I’d encourage anyone who wants to find out more about what a Leave vote means to the country, and why we’re arguing for it, to come along to one of the meetings.”
