The shop is a major fund-raising source for the animal centre, which re-homes abused, neglected and unwanted animals from across East Lancashire.

The charity shop, on St James’s Street, needs people to help out with all aspects of shop work, from working on the till, to sorting out stock, to dressing windows and many other tasks.

The shop has a small, friendly team of all ages and backgrounds, who volunteer a few hours at their convenience. Due to a few volunteers leaving through illness and a couple moving to start paid work, the shop urgently needs some new helpers.

Volunteering is a superb way of helping the RSPCA while meeting new people in a friendly environment. It is also an excellent way to keep your CV up-to-date between jobs or for retired people who are looking for a new pursuit.

If you can help, or would like to ask any questions about volunteering at Burnley RSPCA shop, please pop into the shop and ask for Susan or Nicola, or you can phone them on 01282 437770.
