A charity football match between the Vintage Clarets and Kenanks United has managed to raise more than £1,500 for Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue.
The event, which was held on Sunday, at Burnley Belvedere Football Club, saw former Burnley managers Frank Casper and Stan Ternent return to the dugout.
There was also had a bouncy castle, a raffle, and an auction of Burnley memorabilia.
The game itself finished 3-0 to the Vintage Clarets, thanks to goals from old Burnley favourites George Oghani, Graham Lancashire, and Liam Robinson.
Organiser of the event Nick Carter said: “The event went really well, we’re really pleased.
“Thankfully the weather held off for long enough because just after the event had finished the heavy rain started to come.
“It was a brilliant day and it was great to see the likes of Stan Ternent and Frank Casper showing their support too.”
“We still don’t know the exact amount because we’re still counting everything but we raised £250 from the raffle alone and we’re expecting it to be over the £1,500 mark.
“I’d like to say a big thanks to everyone that got involved and everyone who donated to such a good cause.”
