A vigil is to be held at Padiham Town Hall for the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing

The vigil will be held on the steps of Padiham Town Hall at 7pm and prayers will be led by the Rev Mark Jones, the vicar of St Leonard's Church.

Organiser Brendan Morris said: "This will give the people of Padiham a chance to pay their respects to the victims of the bomb blast.

"We will be having prayers and a minute's silence for people to reflect on what has happened."

People will also be asked if they want to make donations to help the families of the victims of the bombing that has claimed 22 lives, including a mum from the Ribble Valley.

Brendan has appealed for donations of cash for the fund and also candles for the vigil from local businesses and anyone who would like to help is asked to contact him at [email protected] or ring him on 07496118688.
