“Much like in England, the Belgian public has become very suspicious of big banks and ordinary people might see this as a refreshing alternative.”
The four-part documentary series entitled “Econoshock2.0” is inspired by a book from Belgian economist Geert Noels, which examines six shocks influencing the world economy at the moment.
David said: “I’ve recently been filmed by Russian, U.S., German, Italian and Arabic television so I’m pleased to be putting Burnley on the map.

“That is a return to old-fashioned, traditional banking where decisions are made locally. If hundreds of similar shops can open up around the country we can end the recession.
“I’ve got lots of television projects coming up, but I’m only interested in making television that makes a difference to people’s lives.”
