TV: ‘Bank of Dave’ misses out on Scottish BAFTA award

BURNLEY businessman and TV star David Fishwick has missed out on a Scottish BAFTA award.

Mr Fishwick’s was in line for the top TV honour for his popular Channel 4 programme “Bank of Dave” in which he took on the giants of British banking.

The self-made millionaire, who set up Burnley Savings and Loans as part of the hit show, was at the glitzy Glasgow ceremony on Sunday.The programme was nominated in the “features and factual entertainment” category at BAFTA Scotland.

But it was disappointment for Mr Fishwick, of Sabden, and his team as “Bank of Dave” lost out to “Antiques Road Trip” which scooped the award on the night.

Mr Fishwick, who owns David Fishwick Minibus Sales in Colne, is currently filming for the next instalment of the “Bank of Dave” programme on Channel 4.
