The popular village event, which is now in its 25th year, took place at Trawden Recreation Ground on Sunday.

According to Mr Stephenson the show was “one of the busiest of recent years” and showed the importance of informing and educating residents about rural activities in the area. He named his highlight as being the camel racing.

“It is really important that we keep the traditions of village life and promote the importance of farming and agriculture.

“There are so many young people who are involved in the show, but there are so many who don’t know where food comes from or different rural traditions.”
