Young boy airlifted to hospital

A little boy had to be airlifted to hospital this morning (Tuesday) following an accident involving a car.

The six-year-old boy was taken to the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital after he collided with a car outside Colne Bus Station in Craddock Road, shortly before 9am.

Police confirmed the boy had suffered head injuries.
