Police are appealing for information after a man collided with a wall and parked vehicles in Burnley Road on Friday morning.

The accident happened at around 4-30am when a 45-year-old man from Burnley was driving south along Bacup Road.

When travelling round a slight right hand bend, it is thought he lost control of his Ford Focus and collided with a stone wall and a parked car and van.

The man was taken to Royal Preston Hospital with head injuries where he still remains.

The circumstances are currently being investigated.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Road policing officer Sgt Dave Hogarth said: “The man involved is in hospital as a result of his injuries and we are keen to discover exactly what has happened.
