More road closures planned for Burnley in coming weeks

The daytime closures in the Ightenhill and Whittlefield areas, which come into effect from Thursday, March 19th, are being put in place to allow for ‘surface dressing and patching’.

The closure measures are expected to be in place until Tuesday, March 31st.

The roads and the times they will be affected are as follows:

Ighten Road: From its junction with Ightenhill Park Lane to its junction with Tunnel Street - 9-30am to 3pm

Bramley Avenue: From its junction with Westwood Road to its junction with Hunters Drive - 8am to 6pm

Brookford Close: From its junction with Bramley Avenue for its entire length - 8am to 6pm

Coverdale Way: From its junction with Hargrove Avenue to its juinction with Crow Wood Avenue - 9-30am to 3pm

Herschel Avenue: From its junction with Westwood Road for its entire length - 8am to 6pm

Huntroyde Close: From its junction with Hargrove Close for its entire length - 8am to 6pm

Keilder Drive: From its junction with Pendle Way to its junction with Gawthorpe Road - 9-30am to 3pm

Parkwood Avenue: From its junction with Ighten Road to its jun ction with Wellfield Drive - 9-30am to 3pm

Wheatley Close: From its junction with Hargrove Avenue for its entire length - 8am to 6pm

Wellfield Drive: From its junction with Westwood Road to its junction with Pendle Way - 9-30am to 3pm

Hargrove Avenue: From its junction with Coverdale Way to its junction with Keynshawm Grove - 9-30am to 3pm

Westwood Road: From its junction with Ighten Road to its junction with Bramley Avenue - 9-30am to 3pm.

A series of signed diversions will be in place.
