60-year-old woman injured in crash on Bocholt Way

Emergency services were called to a crash on Bocholt Way in Rawtenstall.

The road was blocked in both directions due to the incident.

A spokesperson for Rawtenstall Police said: "Bocholt Way in Rawtenstall is currently blocked in both directions due to a road traffic collision, please avoid the area whilst we deal with this incident, further updates to follow."

Police, North West Ambulance Service and Lancashire Fire and rescue attended the scene.

A spokesperson for North West Ambulance service said: "We were called at 11.58am to an RTC on Bocholt Way.

"We've taken one patient to hospital.

"They are a female in their early 60s with a back injury."

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service have been approached for comment.
