Thomas Peter Campbell, known to friends as Tom, was just 33 when he died in the Royal Blackburn Hospital with a secondary cancer, two years after he was first diagnosed with skin cancer.

His mum said: “Tom was such a laid-back lad who was kind to everybody. Everybody loved him.

“He was first diagnosed with skin cancer two years ago, which started from a mole on his head.

“The Royal Preston Hospital treated it, but I don’t think they checked after that to see if it had spread. We are all heartbroken.

“I loved him and I’ll miss him so much.

“I’m going to help look after his girlfriend Rachael, and his children Morgan, Demi-Leigh and Mia.”

Mr Campbell, of Cog Lane, enjoyed snooker, taking his dogs for walks and boxing.

He also leaves dad Jimmy, grandfather Martin, brother Matthew, sister Sam, and lots of relatives and friends.

His funeral was held at St Mark’s Church at 10 a.m., followed by interment at 10-45 a.m.
